Hi I'm Scott,

aka Scott Chegg!

In 2024 after 40 years of working in the hospitality and hospitality tech sector I was made redundant. I knew I needed a change, I needed to get back to basics. So, Scott Chegg was born!

I’d always made Scotch Eggs for family and friends and lost count of the number of times people told me I should make this a business, so I did.

I knew the farms round Sheffield had outstanding local produce and my first call was to Povey farm in Norton, twice winner of pig farm of the year with all butchery done on site and an array of award-winning sausage varieties. I was delighted to be buying the best ‘made in Sheffield’ produce but it got even better.

They had a commercial kitchen space at the farm and this is where we produce Scott Chegg’s every week. A true farm to fork provenance.

All our eggs are free range and sourced from Yorkshire farms. Scott Chegg has grown steadily since our launch in October culminating with production of nearly 1,000 Chegg’s the week before Christmas. It’s fair to say it’s been all hands on dec, my Son Roscoe and daughter Poppy are now expert egg peelers, as is my Wife Wendy without who’s support and guidance none of this would have been possible. 

Our aim is simple - to produce handmade artisan Scott Chegg’s from the best local produce available. We hope you enjoy them. We love reading your comments.
